Background
Heycar is an online platform for used cars with investors such as Volkswagen Bank and Daimler Bank. In the modern digital landscape, a used car-selling company's success hinges on the effectiveness of its car listing page (CLP). CLP page serves as the virtual showroom, shaping potential buyers' perceptions and influencing their purchase decisions.
The Problem
Enhancing User Experience and Design Consistency for a Used Car-Selling Platform
Our challenge is to improve the existing car listing page's user experience and establish a design system for consistent visual elements across 5 markets in EU. The goals include enhancing usability, boosting conversion rates, and ensuring mobile responsiveness. Success will be measured by improved user satisfaction, increased conversion rates, and high design system adherence.
Solution
We created a brand-new design system to ensure Heycar incorporates best-in-class usability and aesthetics across all corners of the application, which also helped us scale the product by adding new features consistently on the web and member mobile app.
My Role
As a design lead for this project, I led all the design initiatives, conducted workshops and user interviews, and worked with user researchers, designers, product managers, data analysts and developers.
